Current license from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP(C)
NRP and PALS certification preferred
Two years previous work experience in a paediatric and/or level III neonatal critical care
Previous experience working on a Neonatal and/or Paediatric transport team preferred
Demonstrated clinical competence in assessment and intervention for the critically ill neonatal and paediatric patients
Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to express ideas clearly, confidently and directly and work through conflicts and differences in a respectful way
Ability to recognize own feelings, express them fully and constructively manage own feelings in challenging and emotionally charged situations
Ability to express ideas clearly, confidently and directly and work through conflicts and differences in a respectful way
Ability to understand the feelings, concerns and needs of other people, demonstrate care and interest towards them and establish and maintain productive relationships

Immunization Requirements:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health's current definition of being fully vaccinated.
